Rachel is a narrative based photographer. Her recent work centres around folklore and
mythology as she uses the landscape as an instrument in which to explore such themes.
Based upon the tale of Vincent and Goram, a mythological story which follows the creation and
naming of the River Avon, Rachel is exploring symbolism held within the natural world and their
relationship to the characters.

Through Rachel’s exploration of photographic storytelling she experiments with alternative
photographic processes, such as the cyanotype. This allows her to involve natural materials in
her practice. Her work has also been influenced by poets such as Alice Oswald.
