This is a documentary style project that narrates and explores the subtle ‘beauties’ that lie within the small towns along the British coast. The connection that majority of Britons have is that childhood connection with the beaches in England and that
feeling of nostalgia and comfort is present within my images.
I approach documentary photography in different ways, sometimes I feel like i’m an insider documenting my familiar environment and other times I’m an outsider looking in. This documentation of the BLM movement in Bristol is a formation of our social memory, it creates a permanent record for its history, spreading ideas behind the protest and fertilising social change.
